The Asmita Khelo India Women’s Weightlifting League 2025-26, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Weightlifting Association, concluded at the Akhnoor Indoor Sports Complex with enthusiastic participation from over 45 women athletes in Youth, Junior and Senior categories.
The opening ceremony was graced by Manmeet Bali, Principal, Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, while dignitaries including Harbhajan Singh, Dhanraj Singh, Dileep Singh, Harish Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Naman Singh, Vikas Virdi, Neelam Virdi, Bharti Devi, Darshana Devi, Jugal Kishor (Manager Indoor Sports Complex), along with Managers Atul Sudan, Vasu Sahil Sharma, and Anmol, attended. The closing and prize distribution ceremony was held in the presence of MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat, with a vote of thanks delivered by Yudhvir Singh, General Secretary, J&K Weightlifting Association.
Results: In the 44 kg category, Youth gold went to Naman Deep Kour, Junior gold to Aditi Lasgotra, silver to Diksha Sharma, and bronze to Mahi Devi. In 48 kg, Youth gold was won by Mahina Sharma, silver by Riya Parveen, bronze by Hargun Kour, while Junior gold went to Aarya. In 53 kg, Youth winners were Sakshi Dubey (1st), Janvi Radha (2nd), Chanchali Kumari (3rd); Junior winners Palak Sangotra (1st), Mansi Devi (2nd); Senior gold went to Rutbi Sharma. In 58 kg, Youth gold went to Harman Deep Kour, silver Bandana Devi, bronze Khushi; Junior gold Aghya Sharma; Senior gold Riya Mehra, silver Manvi Katal. In 69 kg, Youth winners were Chahat Singh (1st), Aditia Sharma (2nd), and Junior gold to Abhilasha Sharma.
