Indian Army hosts Iftar for orphan children in Pattan, fostering compassion

 In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and community bonding, a grand Iftar party was organized by the army at Pattan, bringing together orphan children and senior Army officials in the spirit of the holy month of Ramazan.

The event was graced by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Kilo Force Major General Tushar Sharma along with other senior Army officers, who spent meaningful and quality time with the children, sharing moments of joy and warmth during this holy month.The Iftar gathering was aimed to spread love and affection among the orphaned children, making them feel valued and included. The Army officials interacted closely with the children, encouraging them towards a bright future and spreading smiles through conversations and shared meals.

Speaking on the occasion, the Army officials highlighted the importance of empathy, unity, and social responsibility, especially during Ramadan—a time that emphasizes charity and kindness.

The children expressed happiness and gratitude for the memorable evening, which not only provided them with a festive meal but also a sense of belonging and care.

Such initiatives continue to strengthen the bond between the Army and the local community, fostering goodwill and mutual respect across the region.
