Work orders to the tune of Rs 1.29 crore distributed among beneficiaries in Kulgam

The Fisheries Department distributed work orders to the tune of Rs 1.29 crore for establishment of trout fish units and construction of houses under PMMSY among beneficiaries in Kulgam district.

The work orders were handed over to the beneficiaries by the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat during a distribution function which was held here at Mini-Secretariat.

Under these works, construction of trout fish units in the private sector shall be taken up for the beneficiaries, besides 19 houseless fishermen to get benefited under PMMSY for the year 2021-2022.

The main objective of the scheme is to provide sustainable livelihoods to the educated unemployed youths and also houses to the houseless registered fishermen.

Present on the occasion were ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather and other officers.
