‘Sports for Peace’ event inaugurated by DYSS Srinagar

The District Youth Services and Sports Srinagar inaugurated ‘Sports for Peace and Development’ event under Khelo India Scheme 2018-19 at multiple venues of Srinagar today.

In the event, competitions of kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, football in both boys and girls sections were held.

The competitions will conclude on March 13 and are being held at BHSS Jawahar Nagar, BHS Sonwar, Gindun Ground, Chanapora, Mada-e-Khah and Pologround.

The events were inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports officer Srinagar, Sunil Singh Sambyal. On the inaugural day around 300 participants took part in kabaddi, volleyball and kho-kho competitions. The position holders were awarded with medals.
