Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura has ordered the reconstitution of its Medical Board.
The newly formed board will be chaired by Prof. Adil Hafeez Wani, Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, SKIMS.
The board includes Prof. Syed Besina Yasin, Head, Department of Pathology; Prof. Saheel Maajid, Head, Department of Orthopaedics, SKIMS Medical College and Hospital, Bemina; Prof. Mohammad Maqbool Wani, Department of Neurology; Prof. Nayil Khurshid Malik, Department of Neurosurgery; Prof. Haroon Rashid Zargar, Department of Plastic Surgery; Prof. Naseer Ahmad Choh, Department of Radio-diagnosis; Prof. Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Department of Ophthalmology, SKIMS Medical College and Hospital, Bemina; Dr. Shahnawaz Hamid Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Hospital Administration; Dr. Tufail Muzaffar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; and the Officer Incharge, Medical Records Department, who will serve as the Member Secretary.
The board has been tasked with assessing the type and percentage of disability and issuing Disability Assessment Certificates to eligible patients.
It will also verify requests from SKIMS staff seeking light duties on health grounds and may co-opt any faculty member from any department as needed
