A Youth from South Kashmir’s Shopian Village has been awarded the Prestigious IsDB (Islamic Development Bank) scholarship, an International Scholarship for Muslim students.Hailing From D.K Pora (Dreed kalipora) village of Shopian district Umer Shafi has been awarded this scholarship and became first Kashmiri who bags this scholarship.
This Scholarship will cost two of his Remaining year’s of degree as he pursuing MBBS.The scholarship will not only encourage me finiancially but to boost my morale and I am hoping “if I can do it other Kashmiris can also do”He added, I am hoping that this will pave the way for other Kashmiris to get this honour”.he added.
It is pertinent to say here that IsDB (Islamic development bank) is funding scholarships for undergraduate, masters, research, vocational and bachelors in 21 least developed member countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin and various other nations.
