In the ongoing calendar of the Club tournaments being organised by the Management of RSGC, the Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC), Srinagar, proudly hosted the 3rd Club Tournament of the season — a Fourball Greensome (Partner by Choice) format event which started on August 27 and will run for five days. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 56 golfers, including lady golfers, reflecting the growing interest and inclusivity in the game of golf within the region.A statement issued here said that the unique format of the tournament, Fourball Greensome (Partner by Choice), added an exciting twist to the event, with alternate shots played by the partners, promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among club members. It allowed players to strategise and rely on each other’s strengths in competing for top honours. The tournament teed off in the afternoon under cloudy and wet golfing weather conditions, which added to the difficulty for golfers. The lush greens and panoramic views of the Zabarwan Hills and Dal Lake provided a stunning backdrop for an engaging day of golf. Participants displayed commendable skills, and several close finishes added thrill to the contest throughout the course. The Royal Springs Golf Course remains committed to fostering a vibrant golfing culture in Kashmir and plans to host several more such tournaments and activities in the coming months, aimed at engaging golfers of all levels and promoting the sport across the region.
