Red Cross holds First Aid awareness session for GPCW students in Sgr

: A day long Red Cross and first aid awareness programme was organized by J&K Red Cross for the students of Government Polytechnic College Women Srinagar on Friday.
A statement issued here said that around 70 students, faculty members and Red Cross staffers participated in the program.
“G.A Qureshi Treasurer was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his introductory speech G.A Qureshi elaborated the role and noble emission Red Cross Movement and the importance of First Aid for the younger generation. He enjoined upon the youth to prepare themselves for helping the needy voluntarily and selflessly,” the statement said.
It said that the Principal of the College Er. Mohammad Shafi formally welcomed the guests and participants. Dr. Aasia Noor gave a presentation on First Aid. “A YRC unit was established in the college and also 70 (seventy) sanitary pads were distributed among the students besides certificates of participation.
