Parvez Rasool first cricketer from J&K to take 200-wickets in first class cricket

Adding another first to his credit, Parvez Rasool on Wednesday reached to 200-wickets milestone in first class cricket.

He reached the 200-wicket mark after taking four-wicket haul against India Blue in Duleep Trophy final while playing for India Reds.

Parvez reached the mark in his 67th match in which he has taken 12 five wicket haul while as one 10-wicket haul in match. Wednesday’s four-wicket haul against India Blues was his ninth in first class cricket.

Apart from being first cricketer from J&K to play senior International cricket for India in ODI’S and T20, Parvez has got number of other records to his credit. He is also top wicket taker for J&K in List-A and also in T20. In List A Parvez has 106 wickets while as 36 in T20. He also has got three wickets from two matches in International cricket. Apart from taking wickets, Parvez also has scored more than 5000 runs in his career with bat for J&K.

Duleep Trophy match is going on at NPR College Ground, Dindigul Tamil Nadu, with India Blues posting 541 runs in their first inning.
