Over 3.5 lakh devotees complete Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra darshan in first 15 days

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 has achieved another significant milestone, with more than 3.5 lakh pilgrims offering prayers at the holy cave shrine within the first 15 days of the annual pilgrimage, reflecting the overwhelming faith of devotees and the smooth conduct of the Yatra.

Since the pilgrimage commenced on July 3, lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad have undertaken the sacred journey to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva at the naturally formed ice Shivling in the Himalayas of south Kashmir.

The impressive turnout highlights the successful coordination between the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, security agencies, healthcare teams, disaster response units and thousands of volunteers, who have worked round the clock to ensure a safe, secure and hassle-free pilgrimage.

Pilgrims travelling through both the Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the Baltal route in Ganderbal district have praised the extensive arrangements, including efficient registration, RFID-based tracking, medical facilities, sanitation services, accommodation, food distribution, transportation and security deployment.

Authorities have established round-the-clock medical camps, emergency response teams, weather monitoring systems and dedicated help centres to assist yatris throughout the pilgrimage. Security has also been significantly strengthened with multi-layer deployment by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, Army and other security agencies to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra.

The record footfall during the first fifteen days reflects growing confidence among devotees in the well-planned arrangements and robust security measures put in place for the pilgrimage.

Officials continue to urge pilgrims to follow advisories, undertake the journey only after obtaining valid registration, monitor weather updates and adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 is scheduled to continue until August 28, with thousands of devotees expected to undertake the sacred journey in the coming weeks.
