To educate Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) with regard to implementation of National Pension System (NPS) in an effective manner, a daylong NPS Training Session was today organised by District Treasury Ganderbal at Govt. Degree College, here.
The Programme was presided over by Director Accounts & Treasuries Shaheen Mohammad Ashraf along with District Treasury Officer Ganderbal.
On the occasion trainers imparted a detailed training through Power Point presentation attended by all DDOs, dealing assistants and finance officials of the district.
Addressing the participants, the Director gave a detailed presentation about the historical perspective of NPS and its benefits. He said that the main focus of the workshop is to make proper implementation of the NPS system and resolution of problems being faced by the contributors and deduction authorities at different levels.
Moreover, the participants were educated about their roles and responsibilities with regard to effective implementation of NPS.
All DDOs operating at district treasury Ganderbal and sub-treasuries of the district besides officials of the finance department were present on the occasion.
