Kulgam, led by Deputy Commissioner Athar Amir Khan, was the only district from Jammu & Kashmir shortlisted among six districts across India to present its exemplary work at the Regional Conference on Good Governance, organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India.
DARPG stated on social media, “We ensure there is 100% timely disposal of all grievances..Mr. Athar Amir Khan highlighted key achievements of the district during his presentation, including: 100% families with Ayushman Bharat Cards, 100% immunization and institutional deliveries, 100% farm families with Kisan Credit Cards, Digitized land records with all landowners receiving passbooks, Full coverage of eligible beneficiaries under pension schemes.”
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, DC Kulgam wrote on social media:

Public Outreach and Rigorous Follow Up have been the main vehicles for this holistic approach!,” he added.
The event, jointly organized by DARPG and the Government of Chhattisgarh, brought together policymakers, bureaucrats, and experts to discuss governance reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and inclusivity in public service delivery. (KNS)
