Suhail Farooq, a law student at Kashmir University, has published his debut book titled From a Victim to a Lawyer: A Societal Pressure. The book explores the journey of a protagonist who escapes the grip of societal challenges and criminal influences to pursue a career in law.

Hailing from Aishmuqam village in Anantnag, Suhail is the first author from his area to publish a book. His passion for writing, nurtured since childhood, culminated in this narrative that highlights the transformative power of education and determination.

From a Victim to a Lawyer tells the story of an individual overcoming societal pressures and finding a new purpose in life through self-awareness and education. The book addresses broader social issues and aims to inspire readers facing similar struggles.

Suhail expressed gratitude to his parents and close friends for their support during his writing journey.
“My book is a tribute to the power of education and living a life of purpose rooted in integrity and justice,” he said, adding that he hopes the book reaches a wide audience, especially those with a background in law.
