J&K Team embarks on National Carrom Championship journey..

In a groundbreaking move, the Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) team is set to compete in the 51st Senior National Carrom Championship, commencing on Sunday and running through April 10th, 2024, at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Organized by the All-India Carrom Federation in collaboration with the MP State Carrom Association and the Jila Gwalior Carrom Association, this prestigious event promises to showcase the nation’s finest carrom talents.

The J&K contingent, consisting of Shahid Ahmad, Haroon Malik, Arsalan Akbar, and Furqan, has rigorously prepared to exhibit their skills and compete against elite carrom players from across the country. Their participation not only underscores their commitment to the sport but also underscores the burgeoning enthusiasm for carrom within the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.

As standard-bearers for Jammu & Kashmir, they carry the aspirations and backing of the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association, eagerly anticipating their performance on the national stage. The entire carrom community, including players and officials of the J&K Carrom Association, extends heartfelt wishes to the team, urging them to compete with determination, elegance, and integrity.

Moreover, the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association appeals to all schools, colleges, and institutions in the region to integrate carrom into their sports curriculum for the betterment and advancement of aspiring players. Recognizing the pivotal role of collective efforts from schools, colleges, institutions, and district units, the association aims to nurture talent for upcoming district, UT, and national-level carrom championships.
