Areshva Mir a young and promising girl has brought laurels to Kashmir .

 

Areshva Aisha Mir, a young and promising Srinagar girl, has brought laurels to Kashmir by obtaining 489 out of 500 marks in her Class XII CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) 2020 and also secured admission in an IVY- League College in Rhode Island in the United States.

Passing the coveted board examinations with flying colours, Ms. Areshva secured 100 per cent marks in subjects like Political Science, Environmental Science and Sociology. She secured 99 and 90 marks in Economics and English respectively. Each subject carries 100 marks. Overall, she got 97.8 per cent marks while securing 99.75 per cent in four crucial subjects.

In her SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), Ms. Areshva has obtained 800 out of 800 marks in Mathematics. Her overall SAT score is 1540 out of 1600. This is how the young Kashmiri girl booked a berth in prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, in the United States. Brown University is an Ivy League College.

The Ivy League refers to an elite group of long-established universities in the eastern US having high academic and social prestige. It includes Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia and Brown.

Ms. Areshva is an alumna of esteemed Mayo College situated in the Indian state of Rajasthan. With excellent command over English language she has enjoyed a well-earned reputation as a debater and public speaker at Mayo.

Ms. Areshva, aged 18, has keen interest in Environmental Journalism. The subject of Climate Change remains very close to her heart. As an avid reader, Ms. Areshva enthusiastically follows global relations, geopolitics and environment. Moreover, she nurtures a strong passion for writing, art and music.
