Beig Fardeen, a promising young footballer and student of Army Public School (APS) Srinagar, has been selected for the Junior National Football Championship 2024-25, to be held in Assam. This marks another significant milestone for Beig, who previously showcased his exceptional skills in the Sub Junior National Football Championship 2023-24 held in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
The recent trials, conducted under the directives of the All India Football Federation and facilitated by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), saw the participation of over two thousand football players from across the region. Held at the Polo Ground Synthetic Football Turf, the trials culminated in the selection of 22 talented players by the selection committee.
Among those selected, Beig Fardeen’s outstanding performance once again earned him a spot in the national team. He is currently undergoing rigorous training in the National Football Camp, further honing his skills for the upcoming championship.
This achievement has brought immense pride to APS Srinagar. Principal APS, the in-charge, Chairperson APS, 15 Corps, and officials of 31 SUB Area extended their heartfelt congratulations to Beig Fardeen for his remarkable accomplishment.
The success of Beig Fardeen also highlights the efforts of the JKSC and JKFA, headed by Wasim Aslam, in promoting sports talent in Jammu and Kashmir.
