Yateem Khana Chattabal felicitate medal winners

Sports is life of youth in Kashmir and is a main channel to utilize their energy. Also sports is a main tool to  keep the youth distant from evils of society like drugs, violence etc. And to ensure proper engagement of youth in different sports, many govt, private and non profitable organisations are playing their role and appreciating the youth time to time.

Yateem Khana is a Non-Political, Charitable and Constitutional Institution working for the Welfare of the Destitute people like Widows, Orphans, Handicapped people, Poor Meritorious students. The Organization is registered with J&K Govt. for carrying on welfare activities.  530-male Orphans are being provided satisfactory lodging, boarding and education.The Organization provides monthly Financial Assistance to 700-Widows, 200-Handicapped persons and 200-Orphan girls. Moreover on the occasions of marriage of orphan girls all the possible help is provided to them.

Recently it has felicitated its students who bagged positions in the various competition conducted by Department of Youth Services and Sports.

In a felicitation ceremony held on Sunday, Chairman of the Institute felicitated the students who had excelled in various competitions. The students of the institute had dominated the seerat competition and bagged various positions. In under-14 category, Lateif Ahmad Ganai had bagged first position while as in under-17 category, Naseer Ahmad bagged first place. In the same category, Aamir Ahmad of the institute bagged second place.

In the cross country event, Mohammad Jaffer Bhat , Aamir Ahmad Hajam, Naseer Ahmad Gojjar and Irfan Ahmad Ganai bagged first four positions respectively.

Such initiatives and events are the need of society so as to ensure physical, mental and moral health of its youth and make Kashmir better and prosperous.
