NIT Srinagar announced Job notification to hire candidates who completed B.Tech/B.E for the position of Website Developer/Administrator, Programmer, System Analyst.

Vacancy 1 : Website Developer/Administrator

Qualification : B.Tech/B.E

Vacancies : 01

Post Salary : Rs. 30,000 Per Month

Experience : 3 – 5 years

Other Qualification Details:

1. Eligibility/ Qualification: B .Tech CSE/IT.

Experience in Related Field: 3 years

2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

a. Ensure that web sites are working properly and resolve issues, if any

b. Make changes to web pages as required

c. Review web pages in multiple browsers and identify/ correct operational or display issues.

d. Generate reports.
e. Support applications and troubleshoot any problems that arise and when necessary, work with other support services to find the solution and restore service.

f. Other duties, as assigned.

3. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

a. Efficient in Microsoft Office

b. Woprking with Linux, LDAP, Apache, SSO

c. Working experience of HTML, CSS, SQL, javascript. Node. Js, MEAN stack, MongoDB, Jason.

d. Programming with php/ [erl

e. Experience of working with Version control – git

f. Knowledge of site hosting solutions, AWS

g. Experience of any template based website framework- Drupal, WordPress, etc

h. Wireframing for website design.

4. Working hours: Typically work a standard week. However, can be on call outside office hours, at weekends or in the evenings and need to be flexible in case of major technical problems occurs in the campus website/ network. There may be other duties, as assigned.

Vacancy 2 : Programmer

Qualification : B.Tech/B.E

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

a.Configure all the active networks.
b. Deploy the equipment.
c. Maintain and monitor the network in order to ensure uniform operation of the networks.
d. Install and support network systems
e. Work with servers in data centre.
f. Monitor working of Campus WiFi System.
g. Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
h. Resolve all the problems or queries reported by the end user and provide them with proper resolution

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
a. Types of networking devices- features and concepts-switch, router
b. Cabling standards- straight through, crossover, roll over . UTP cable types.
c. Switches- types, SFP, Fiber modules.
d. Ethernet, WiFi, Fiber
e. IP Addressing and VLAN. Static IP v/s DHCP.
f. Firewall, LDAP, TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN. SAN and NAS and types of storage.
g. Essential Electrical Connections, Color coding, Earthing, Common Electrical problems and troubleshooting.

Other Qualification Details:

Eligibility/ Qualification: B.E./B. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Sciences / Information Technology, with a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA, from a recognized University / Institution Sound knowledge of Open source Software like Operating Systems / Data Bases. Sound Knowledge of different Hardware platforms.

Experience: Related working Experience. M. E. / M. Tech. in the related Specialization / field. Professional Certifications in Linux / Cisco / Oracle etc.

Job Role: Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Servers, Network systems, RFID hardware, Bar code. Maintenance and the operation Library management software. Installation Maintenance and Management of any other hardware / Software related to Library Information system.
