Mohd Azeem of Cricket Association for Blind Jammu and Kashmir (CABJK) has been selected in top 29 players for India Camp scheduled to pick the players for representing the country in the forthcoming prestigious 3rd T20 World Cup for visually impaired to be held from December 5, 2022 in India.
Azeem made it to the list of 29 probable after having good show of skills during 11-day India Camp for 56 talented cricketers held at Benguluru, in which Azeem was also accompanied by another talented cricketer of J&K Rohit Sharma.
The 12-day IndusInd Bank National Coaching Camp at Faith Cricket Academy in Bhopal, being organised by
the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and Samarthanam Trust for the
Disabled, is scheduled to be held from September 22 to October 4, 2022. According to the reports, the selection committee of Cricket Association for the Blind in India will shortlist
the best 17-member squad to represent India.
9 countries will be taking part in the event, which will feature 39 matches, to be played in different cities across India with an aim to promote Cricket for the Blind. “The stage is set for the beginning of qualification for the inaugural edition of 3rd T20 World Cup,” said Mahantesh G.K, President, CABI.
He thanked IndusInd Bank for organizing the coaching camp and supporting the game of cricket for the
visually impaired.
