In the twelfth standard results that the JK Board of School Education made public today, 75 per cent (54075) of 72180 candidates have passed. In this result as well, the girls have outshined boys and bagged most of the top positions.
Arusa Parvez has secured the highest marks of 499. A student of Kashmir Harvard Naseembagh, she is a science student. The second position (498) in science was bagged by Simrah Hafeez, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Soura. Fiza Zahoor Tantary is the third topper (497) from Government Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh. The third position was shared with four others.
The top ten positions in science are shared by a whopping 259 candidates but the topper is only one.
The first position in commerce was taken by Tabinda Jan, also a student of Kashmir Harvard. She got 497 marks. The second position in Commerce was shared by Rutba Bashir of Government Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal with SAliq Ashraf of Government Higher Secondary School Anantnag.
In the arts stream, Adeebh Muzamil has bagged the top position with 496 marks. She is a student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh. However, she shared the position with two others – taking the same marks – Hafsa Yousuf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Verinag and Suhail Ahmad Dar, a student of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Pulwama.
