Tourists have started returning to Kashmir in large numbers after a two-month break, with the region experiencing its first snowfall of the season. The Zojila Pass, now covered in snow, has become a key attraction, drawing visitors eager to experience the snow-covered peaks.
Tourists from West Bengal, many of whom saw snow for the first time, expressed their excitement. “We are lucky to witness snowfall for the first time. Kashmir is truly a paradise, and the locals are very welcoming,” said one of the visitors.
The snowfall, predicted by the Meteorological Department after the arrival of a western disturbance, has led to a drop in temperatures across the higher areas of Kashmir. Both locals and tourists have prepared for the cold while enjoying the views.
With fresh snowfall in recent days, Zojila Pass is now attracting large crowds, as tourists take advantage of the region’s winter landscape. The snow is expected to boost tourism through the season.
