The four-day winter camp was organized by JKAUMA as part of ‘Drugs Out, Sports In’ initiative in which around 120 players, including girls in different age groups, participated in the second Winter Camp organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Unified Martial Arts (JKAUMA) at Pahalgam in below normal temperatures.
The event was organized in the run-up to prepare the players for various district, state, national and international events in 2019. “Various Martial Art forms, including Jeet Kune Do, Tong IL Moo Do, Taekwondo, Kubo, Karate, Grappling, and besides six other styles were taught during the camp.
The initiative of JKAUMA to promote healthy living though martial arts is really appreciable. Sports is the right platform to channelize the energy of the youth positively.
Through such events the youth of Jammu and Kashmir will get the opportunity to meet and interact with kids from other parts of the state which will develop teamwork, discipline and confidence in them.
