Srinagar girl authors Urdu book ‘Saday-e-Qalab’.

Mir Raafiyah Bashir from Soura area of Srinagar city has authored a book titled ‘Saday-e-Qalab’ with an aim to rekindle the love and enthusiasm for Urdu language among young people of Kashmir valley.
Raafiyah has been writing in Urdu writing for the last four years. She has written several articles and poems and has now come up with a complete book in Urdu in order to give her ideas and thoughts a dignified shape.
“I’ve been writing for the last four years. It was this year that I thought it was the right time to show my work to people and publish my book in Urdu, and I decided to name the book ‘Saday-e-Qalb’. There has been a sort of disconnect with this language among the young masses but I am hopeful all will read it and find it interesting,” she said.
Saday-e-Qalb will be released formally on the 8th of November, Sunday at 21 Miles Café in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.“My quotes and poems are written under the pen-name ‘GumnaamRahi’. I have put my heart and soul in this book and I hope the people will read the book and like it,” she added.
Raafiyah says that she aspires to write more books in future and contribute towards the uplift of society and its people. She also hopes to write books in the English language.
