SKUAST-K innovators secured innovation grant..

Four young innovators of Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir mentored under SKUAST K Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship centre brought laurels to university by clinching the Raftaar seed grant from RABI SKUAST-Jammu centre supported by Ministry of Agriculture and farmer’s welfare GoI.

The Grant of Rs 15 Lakh was secured by Ms. Maliqa Majid for her innovative Idea/technology and Rs 5 Lakh each was secured by Ms. Tabasum Akhtar, Ms Sameena and Dr. Tahir Nazir for their novel ideas. All Four are scholars turned innovators mentored under SKUAST K Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship centre.

This is the result of our dedicated mechanism and Policy, university possess under framework of SKUAST K Innovation Startup Policy that provides a flexible environment to university students, scholars and faculty members to translate their commercially viable Ideas into viable Prototypes and Minimum viable Products. SKUAST-K under ambit of SKUAST K Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship centre believes in changing mindset of students/faculty members towards Innovations & Start-ups where researches are turned into viable products and technologies for social impact and be a stakeholder towards realizing vision of VIKSIT bharat@2047.

SKUAST K Innovation, incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre is playing a pivotal role in evolving technologies and create innovations which not only effectively and efficiently improve production of these sectors but also promote businesses and industries associated with agriculture in Jammu and Kashmir.

Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K Prof. Nazir A Ganai congratulated all grantees, their mentors and SKUAST K Innovation, incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre for their dedication and a great achievement. He further stated that these achievements are not only to cherish but it boosts up the culture of Innovation, Incubation & Start-ups in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir as it will act as a benchmark for others to come and join this start-up mission.
