Hailing from District Srinagar, J&K’s former First-Class Cricketer Sameer Ali has passed BCCI’s Level-1 Cricket Coaching Course and has qualified for Level-2 Coaching Course of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Sameer”s letter of qualification was sent to the Administrators of JKCA by former Test Cricketer VVS Laxman, Head National Cricket Academy (NCA)

Sameer Ali has represented Jammu and Kashmir in 15 Ranji Trophy (4-day) matches, 9 List A (One-Day) matches and 5 T20 matches.
Playing as a right-arm seam bowler, Sameer had the reputation of consistently hitting the ball in good areas and generating a lot of pace and purchasing bounce even on docile tracks, besides wobbling the ball both ways.
He has taken 31, 9 and 5 wickets in First Class, List-A and T20 matches respectively, with 4/74, 2/27 and 2/15 as his best bowling figures in these formats respectively.
