Road race for girls held at Anantnag

Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Anantnag conducted second leg of the district-level inter-zonal school long-distance race for girls in age group of under-14, 17 and 19 on Friday.

The race, which started from Sarnal Dhadat KP Road Anantnag, was flagged off by the Principal Higher Secondary School Anantnag and Headmaster HS Brakpora. In the event around 150 girl students participated.

The principal appreciated the efforts of DYSS Anantnag. Later a concluding ceremony was held at Sports Stadium Tikbagh Mattan in which first 10 position holders in each age group were awarded.

Among others present on the occasion were District Youth Services and Sports Officer Anantnag, Zonal Physical Education Officer Anantnag, Mattan and activity section of DYSSO Office Anantnag.
