Representatives of Sports Authority of India (SAI) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, on Sunday.
The delegation comprising of Ms Manjushree Dayanand, Executive Director and Dr Sangeeta Sheoran, Deputy Director, SAI discussed with the Lieutenant Governor important matters related to the implementation of the Central Government Sports Schemes especially those pertaining to Khelo India including KISCE Centres and academies.
The Central Government is making tremendous efforts in implementing the schemes which includes-Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE) for rowing, kayaking and canoeing at Dal lake, Srinagar and fencing at Jammu.
The Lieutenant Governor assured every support and assistance to the Sports Authority of India in promotion of sports in the UT of Jammu Kashmir.
