Police in Sopore held a Sports Festival Exhibition/Friendly Cricket Match at the Soin Sadnar Sports Stadium, featuring an exciting contest between the Sopore Police Cricket Team and Soin Cricket Club.
After winning the toss, the Sopore Police Cricket Team decided to field first. Soin Cricket Club set a challenging target of 137 runs in 18 overs. In response, the Sopore Police Cricket Team began their chase aggressively, dominating the powerplay. However, despite a strong effort, they fell short by 25 runs, ending their innings at 112 runs.
The chief guest for the event, SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS, commended the youth for their active participation in sports and called for greater collaboration between the police and the community to tackle social issues, such as drug abuse and promote a healthier society.
The event received widespread appreciation from the public, who praised the J&K Police for organizing such initiatives, helping to foster a positive image of the department.
