Poets and Cultural Organizations are using social media to arrange virtual mushairas or symposiums.

As everyone is at their homes these days and public places have been closed to avoid large gatherings, no big gathering of poets is being organized in Jammu and Kashmir and depriving poets and intellectuals of the opportunity to meet and recite their latest poems before an audience.
But to overcome this, now poets and cultural organizations are using social media to arrange virtual mushairas or symposiums. The academy had plans to switch over to online and virtual sessions to reach a larger audience, especially among youngsters and now they have started this trend and hope to see it replicate in different cities. Many poets are now regularly uploading their latest poems in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Kashmiri on social media to entertain and reconnect with the audience. The poets have been receiving excellent response and love from the audience, especially the youth. This way the poets can reach their audience and the audience is also able to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes and staying safe at home.
