Principal SKIMS Bemina, (JVC) Dr Reyaz A Untoo commissioned oxygen concentration plant with a capacity of 750 Lpm to provide better care for COVID19 patients at the hospital.
The work on the plant which has a standby compressor and dryer, was expedited for the better functioning of the designated COVID19 hospital at SKIMS, Bemina.Besides the plant can run six to 10 more ventilators over and above the existing four.It will also help in increasing bed strength from existing 20 to 80 to 174.
The Principal appreciated the efforts of engineering wing and coordinator SKIMS Medical College in upgrading infrastructural facilities required to upgrade SKIMS Bemina into a full-fledged COVID19 hospital.
He complimented doctor, nurses, paramedical and other supportive staff for putting their best efforts in the management of COVID19 patients.
