Over Two Lakh Projects Completed in Last Four Years in JK..

The Jammu and Kashmir Government led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha applauded the efforts of the officials in successfully completing around two lakh projects within the last four years.

Quoting a top government official, KNS reported that LG Manoj Sinha praised the tireless work of the officials, emphasizing that their unwavering commitment to these initiatives left an indelible mark on the UTs development landscape.

“The completion of approximately 2 lakh projects is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our officials. Their efforts have positively impacted the lives of countless citizens and reflect the government’s steadfast commitment to the welfare and progress of the Union territory,” the official, while quoting LG Manoj Sinha, said.

He said that the projects have substantially improved various aspects of daily life for citizens. “The construction of new roads, bridges, and infrastructure has significantly enhanced connectivity, reducing travel times and improving access to remote areas. Additionally, vital healthcare and educational institutions have been established, increasing access to quality services and educational opportunities.”

One of the top officials in the government said that the projects undertaken during this period have been instrumental in bringing about positive change, improving the standard of living, and fostering economic development in the region. “These initiatives have touched the lives of millions of residents and are a testament to the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Adding further, the officials said that the construction of new roads, bridges, and tunnels has significantly improved connectivity within the region. “The Zojila Tunnel, the world’s longest bi-directional tunnel, is one such project that has reduced travel time and improved access to Ladakh.”

“The Union Territory administration has focused on education and skill development, with the establishment of numerous schools, colleges, and vocational training centers. This has enabled the youth to acquire the necessary skills for better job opportunities. The healthcare sector has witnessed a significant boost with the establishment of new hospitals, healthcare centers, and the recruitment of medical professionals. These developments have enhanced healthcare services and made quality healthcare more accessible,” they said.

The region’s digital infrastructure has seen a significant upgrade, with the expansion of high-speed internet services. This has not only connected people with the world but also facilitated e-governance and digital literacy, they said.
