Outshining Boys, Girls Bagged Almost All Top Positions In 12th Class

 

As the long-awaited 12th class results are finally declared by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, the girls have outshined the boys. Of the 12 toppers, there are only two boys.

The first position was shared by Humera Rashid from HSS Lasjan and Isha Bashir from  from the science stream of KIE and Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School with 490 marks out of 500. The second position has been secured by Sadiq Peerzada from Tyndale Biscoe School with 488 marks. The third position was bagged by Leeba Aijaz and Anika Khurshid who fetched 486 marks. Total 10408 students are distinction holders, 15684 students have passed in First Division, 7756 had Second Division and 1606 students got third division.

Humera Rashid, a student of Kashmir Institute of Excellence Lasjan Srinagar topped in Science stream. She is a resident of Humhama Srinagar.

“I am happy and thankful to Almighty Allah who gives me strength and makes me capable to appear in the examination,” she said. “I am also thankful to my parents and teachers who supported and helped me a lot.”

She said Kashmiri students have got the best brains and if they utilize it in the best way they will achieve wonders.
