Online collaborative training program commences at Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-K

Srinagar, Aug Five Days Online Collaborative Training programme with National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad on “Development of Seed and Seed Multiplication Chain” kick started today on Tuesday at Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir.

The programme was organized under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai and able mentorship of Director Extension, SKUAST-K, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makdhoomi. The Scientists, Students from the University and all across the India attended this training programme.

This training programme will focus on the development of seed and seed multiplication with impetus on Seed identification, Seed production and Seed certification.

In the inaugural address, Director Extension, SKUAST-K, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi deliberated on the importance of development of Seed and Seed Multiplication chain. He reiterated on the fact that Seed Chain Development is the most critical input for sustainable agriculture which will help to raise the production by 45%. He asked the participants to practically apply in the fields what they will learn from the training programme. He congratulated the team of the Directorate for organizing the programme.
