The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office Kashmir organized its “Nidhi Aapka Nikat” outreach program at five locations across Srinagar, aimed at strengthening ties with stakeholders and addressing grievances. The event, led by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, Vinay Kumar, took place at Industrial Estates in Khanmoh, Zainakote, Shalteng, Baghi Ali Mardan Khan, and Sanatnagar.
The outreach, part of EPFO’s monthly initiative, focused on providing services such as assistance with filing advances, e-nomination, KYC updates, and claim submissions. This month’s theme, “Filing Advances,” highlighted processes for obtaining advances, updating bank and PAN details, and submitting digital life certificates for pensioners.
Participants were briefed on the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, part of the Prime Minister’s Package for job creation, designed to provide wage incentives and boost employment in the formal sector. The scheme aims to create over 2 crore jobs in two years.
The event also included an interactive session, addressing issues raised by participants, with grievances resolved on the spot. Employers and employees praised the EPFO for organizing the program and requested more such initiatives in the future.
