Nida Khan, a female entrepreneur from Bandipora, Kashmir is determined to create a new identity of Kashmir.
An MCA student Nida had other plans till she got in touch with Pune based Aseem Foundation in 2016, and took liking to the concept of locally manufacturing Apple Walnut Cookies.
Branded as Koshur Krunch, the Apple Walnut Cookies by Nida are sought by one and all. Koshur Krunch is a Kashmir brand famous most part of India, though these cookies are not sold at local level.
Initially Nida started all-women bakery with her sister at Bandipora and now she coordinates another bakery unit at Uri, providing herself an inspiration for men and women all over.
Nida did her BCA from Government Women’s College Baramulla and always wanted to do something different.
From technology field into bakery was never an easy task especially for a girl like Nida. Her parents became hesitant, they too took it as awkward. But she always wanted to lead from the front.
She wanted to be a role model for other girls and only after less than two years Nida is not only earning for herself but also providing jobs to other girls of valley.
