NGOs across Jammu and Kashmir have come forward to help our fellow brothers and sisters in need by providing all the necessary items.

As we all are together fighting against COVID-19, situations like these help us reinstate our faith in humanity. Various citizen-led groups and NGOs across Jammu and Kashmir have come forward to help our fellow brothers and sisters in need by providing all the necessary items needed at this point.
Many NGOs have carried out extensive fumigation drives in various areas and helped with logistics needed besides carrying out awareness programs. NGOs and voluntary organizations in coordination with the administrative authorities have distributed more than 7,300 food kits to needy families, 14,400 masks, and 1,670 PPE kits across the valley. Many NGOs are also creating awareness about the virus in villages by going door-to-door and providing masks to families, all while following the basic rules of hygiene and social distancing, it is a good initiative to bust all the myths surrounding the virus and provide accurate information. Together we all can fight this situation by helping all those in need.
Organizations can also contact the Kashmir division NGO coordination cell on mobile numbers 9419024133 and 7006414736 if they face any difficulties in carrying out their operations.
