New flyovers and grade separator projects in full swing..

In a commendable stride towards revolutionizing urban mobility, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Monday announced that crucial flyover and grade separator projects in Srinagar are rapidly advancing. These infrastructure endeavors, designed to ameliorate traffic congestion, are injecting a breath of fresh air into the city’s connectivity landscape.

The construction of three new flyovers at Nowgam, Bemina Crossing, and Sanatnagar Crossing, with estimated costs of ₹36.90 Cr, ₹31.49 Cr, and ₹29.52 Cr respectively, is making significant headway. Deputy Commissioner Asad emphasized the strategic importance of these projects, foreseeing them as pivotal in reshaping Srinagar’s traffic dynamics.

A standout achievement is the completion of the Lasjan Grade Separator, a colossal traffic initiative boasting a budget of ₹75.0 Cr. This milestone not only eliminates major bottlenecks but also lays the foundation for a more fluid traffic experience. These engineering marvels, once completed, are anticipated to redefine Srinagar’s transportation landscape for years to come.

Acknowledging the persistent demands from both residents and commuters, these projects are tailored to address long-standing traffic issues. Deputy Commissioner Asad expressed optimism, assuring that the interventions would act as effective traffic decongestants, providing much-needed relief to the local populace.

With construction progressing at an accelerated pace, residents are hopeful that these initiatives will pave the way for additional transformative projects, further enhancing the city’s overall urban infrastructure. The ongoing developments mark a positive turning point for Srinagar, generating anticipation among residents for a more streamlined and efficient transportation network.
In essence, these projects not only signify a commitment to meeting the aspirations of the people but also underscore the proactive approach of the local administration in addressing vital civic needs.
