National Entrepreneurship Awards 2018: Call for Nominations

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (NSDE) has called for nominations from First Generation Entrepreneurs and their Ecosystem Builders for National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) 2018.

The nominations have been invited from entrepreneurs from sectors such as Textile, textile article, leather goods, handicrafts, renewable energy, pharma, hospitality, tourism and travel etc. There will also be a special category award for Women Entrepreneur, SC/ ST Category entrepreneur, Entrepreneur from PwD category and entrepreneur from difficult areas.

For Awards to Ecosystem Builders, the nominations have been invited from Entrepreneurship Development Institutes/ Organizations, Incubation Centres, Mentors and Promoters Rural Promotion Group Enterprise.

Winners will receive a Trophy, Certificate and a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh (enterprises/ individuals) and Rs 10 lakh (organizations/ institutes). A high profile award ceremony will be held in the third week of December 2018.

In its letter for call for nomination, MSDE said, “As an important step to catalyze a cultural shift in youth for entrepreneurship, MSDE has instituted the National Entrepreneurship Award (NEA) to recognize and honour outstanding first generation entrepreneurs and their ecosystem builders for their outstanding contribution in entrepreneurship development.”

A total of 43 awards will be given to young achievers below the age of 40 years and their ecosystem builders across sectors, geographies and socio-economic background through the process of nomination.

The nominations can be done through www.neas.gov.in.

The candidates will be mobilized through nomination, and undergo a three-level rigorous evaluation process, wherein, in the last step the National Jury of eminent persons will select the winner.
