Today we have a story of two young entrepreneurs to share who give a platform to young artists and achievers of Kashmir to showcase their work.
Mounis Ratta and Azaan Showkat are two young talents and budding event organizers providing platforms to young Kashmiri artists. While working in abundance with zest and enthusiasm, they operate their events in order to revive Kashmir’s culture and promote young achievers.
Mounis Ratta, 20-year-old fashion designer and stylist pursued his degree from Istituto di Moda Burgo, Milan. Mounis is an alumni of New Era Public School, Rajbagh and is the co-founder of YouTube channel and Instagram page; ‘Valley of Artists’.
“The big dream is to be a Fashion Consultant. Our last event was a huge success where we received double the expected entries. I believe such events are much needed for the growth of young artists of the valley”, Mounis said.
Azaan Showkat is a 22-year-old BBA graduate who hails from Lal Bazar area of Srinagar. His main focus is to provide stage exposure to Instagram-artists. Azaan pursued his bachelor’s degree from SSM .
“Our previous event was named ‘Qalam-e-Qalb’ where many young artists showcased their talents in different artistic fields. The venue for the event was De Hard Rockz Cafe, Rajbagh. We received appreciative feedback and overall the event was a success”, Azaan added.
They also organized a Musical event, Aabshaar, where many budding, as well as professional singers, performed. The event took place in SKICC and has been called one of the greatest musical events of Kashmir till date.
