A six year old kid from Shopian district is all set to debut at national level in martial arts after he proved a shining star at the state level championship.Mohammad Momin a resident of Batpora area of Shopian district was informed last week that he has to participate in National level Martial Art championship to be held in Delhi from 15th of July.
His father Sajad Ahmad said that on 22 December 2019 Momin won a gold medal in martial arts state level championship held at Jammu University and few days before he was informed that he is set to participate in a National level championship of Martial arts.“I was also loving these arts and have also took part in games at local level, due to which my son also got attracted towards games and martial arts,” he said.
Sajjad said that he is excited to know that his son is going to represent J&K at a tender age of six years and hopefully he will perform well.“Even in Covid times Momin used to practice at home as he loves to learn new arts,” Sajad said, adding that he is supporting to grow well both physically and mentally.
Momin says he is very much excited and thanked his parents and relatives for their love and support.
Momin, who is a UKG student at ‘Solace International School Pulwama’ also thanked his teacher who was continuously teaching him different arts in school.“I will put in all efforts to perform well at National level,” he said.
