Mehwish Habib, a student from Handwara, has brought pride to her town by securing the first position at the Youth Exchange Program “Watan Ko Jano” held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The event, which aimed to promote cultural exchange and strengthen national unity, saw participation from 174 youth from Kashmir Valley, including 22 from Kupwara district.
Mehwish, hailing from a small village of Handwara Badereheer, and a first-year student at Government Degree College (GDC) Handwara, stood out among the participants with her knowledge and performance. The program provided a platform for youth from Jammu and Kashmir to learn about India’s diverse culture, history, and the role of youth in national development. Mehwish’s exceptional participation earned her top honors, making her a source of inspiration for many.
