Meet Javid Parsa, the man behind Valley’s fastest growing food chain Parsa foods

Javid Parsa, brand ambassador and Managing Director of Parsa foods, quit cushy corporate job at Amazon and moved back to Kashmir to create a meaningful venture, in the process setting an example for the youth.
His restaurant serving delicious Kathi rolls in Sarah City Center. Kathi Junction has turned to be a favorite place to sit, chat, eat, discuss, celebrate and of course selfies.

“I want to expand my horizon and it is my dream to take our scrumptious and pocket-friendly rolls to every corner of the state, while creating more businessmen. Majority of my franchising partners have just stepped out of colleges and hold degrees in business management. I want to create a pool of good, genuine and young businessmen”, Javid Parsa, brand ambassador and Managing Director of Parsa foods, said.

His dream seems to be on a fast track to realization as the brand that already has four outlets functioning and is set to open up two more in the month of October in Anantnag and Ganderbal districts.

Recently, Kashmiris, Ladakhis and tourists of varied nationalities came together at the Leh opening of Parsa’s, which the team claims that Parsa’s Leh might just be the highest ‘rolling joint’ in the world.

Parsa Foods, known because of its brand ambassador Javid Parsa, is a popular place for social gatherings varying from Book launches, Poetry Recitals, Music and documentary releases, Social Campaigns, Startup events in past three years. Parsa foods have also been running first of its kind Public Library at sarah city center for past two years.

Javid Parsa has been in the news for using social media for business. Popularly known as ‘Selfie Parsa’, Parsa has managed to create a women and youngster friendly space. His use of selfies and social media has put him on the road to achieving a world record for the ‘most number of selfies, with different people, at one place’ which is his food joint.

Apart from being an entrepreneur, Javid Parsa is a social activist, writer and a poet. He’s constantly working to provide platforms to young Kashmiri artists and entrepreneurs.

His words sound so convincing and inspiring that “Life will not come easy. Times will be hard. You will fall but fall only to rise back again. People will come and go, but be honest to whoever comes your way. Believe in yourself!”
