Kulgam student receives Gold Medal by President at KU ..

Rashid Hussain Magrey, a resident of Wattoo Aharbal in Kulgam district, was honoured for his academic excellence at the 20th Annual Convocation of the University of Kashmir on Wednesday.
Rashid, who completed his Masters in Microbiology from the university, was awarded the Gold Medal for securing the first position in his department.

Expressing his gratitude, Rashid said, “I owe this achievement to my parents, teachers, and everyone who supported me. Hard work always pays off. We should also encourage the youth to pursue their goals with determination.”

“The Watoo area in Kulgam has a lot of potential. We have seen some impressive individuals come from here before. For instance, Justice Ali Mohammad Margrey, the former Chief Justice of J&K High Court, was from this area. Recently, a bright young girl named Shujaat Farooq did well in the JKAS results. And earlier this year, the twin daughters of a local Imam excelled in NEET,” he added.

Rashid’s achievement shows that young minds in Kulgam have a lot of promise. Their success in different areas of life proves their talent and determination. Rashid’s win is not only his own, but it’s also a motivation for local students to do well in their studies.
