Kashmir’s Tajamul Islam Makes India Proud, Wins Gold In World Kickboxing Champion For 2nd Time

A young girl from Kashmir, Tajamul Islam has once again won the title of World Kickboxing Champion in Cairo, Egypt. 13-year-old Tajamul is a resident of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district and has been practicing boxing since the age of 6, against all the odds. She last won the title in 2016.

Two time world champion

The boxer says that it is a proud moment to win Gold in World Kickboxing Championship for the second time. She took to Twitter to share her win with the world and wrote, “It was really a proud moment for me when I get gold again in world kickboxing championship in Cairo, Egypt 2021 now I am 2 Times world kickboxing champion”.

LG congratulates young kickboxer

Following the victory, Lt. Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, congratulated the young champion for her success and wished her the best for the future.

Tajamul, later, thanked the governor in reply to the tweet, “Thanku so much sir keep supporting me and want your blessings once again thanku so much sir.”

Her achievements 

Tajamul also runs her own sports academy in Bandipora, where she trains hundreds of young girls to compete in kickboxing. Tajamul has already won many medals at the district, state, national and international level kickboxing competitions in the sub-junior category.
