The Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K, is organising the Inter-District UT Level Athletic Meet 2025-26 at the University of Kashmir.The event brought together athletes from across J&K to showcase their individual talent, spirit, and sportsmanship in various track and field categories, including running, jumping, and throwing events.
Around 150 young athletes in the Under-19 (Girls) category participated in the grand opening of the event.The meet was inaugurated by Dr. Basharat, Assistant Physical Director of the University of Kashmir, alongside Nodal Officer Shabir Ahmad Mir and Overall Incharge Barkat Ali Mir, with the support of convenors and technical officials.The athletic meet is hosted by the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Srinagar, under the ongoing national campaign “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.”
The event began with a collective pledge to eradicate substance abuse and promote a drug-free society across the country.DYSSO Srinagar Ghulam Hassan Lone encouraged the young athletes for their enthusiastic participation and spirit.
