Kargil Victory Celebrated with Street Play at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk

India army, in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar and White Globe NGO, commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Kargil Victory with a powerful street play at Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk Srinagar. The event, was held under the able guidance of Mr. Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Srinagar (PDJ) Srinagar on 23 July 2024 drew a large crowd of locals, officials from DLSA and White Globe, and even foreign visitors.

The street play, performed by artists from Firdous Dramatic Club, vividly depicted the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers during the Kargil War. The performance highlighted the strategic importance of the Kargil sector, the challenges faced by the Indian Army, and the ultimate triumph over the enemy.

The main objective of the event was to pay homage to the Kargil heroes and to remind the younger generation of their sacrifices. The street play provided a powerful platform to celebrate the victory and to honor the memory of those who lost their lives defending the nation.

The participation of local artists in the street play added a special touch to the event. It demonstrated the strong sense of patriotism among the people of Srinagar and their deep appreciation for the brave soldiers. The event also provided a platform for the community to come together and celebrate the Kargil Victory.
The presence of officials from the DLSA Srinagar, White Globe, and the Indian Army, Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Srinagar, Volunteers from White Globe, alongside the participation of local citizens and foreign visitors, underscored the importance of unity and solidarity in remembering the Kargil War.

The event served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our soldiers and the importance of remembering their bravery. It was a powerful celebration of the Kargil Victory, and a tribute to the spirit of India.
