J&K’s Aqsa clinches Gold at Asian Pencak Silat C’ship

Aqsa Gulzar from Srinagar has achieved remarkable success by clinching a Gold Medal at the 8th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2024, held in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. This prestigious event showcased top athletes from across Asia, and Aqsa’s outstanding performance distinguished her as a leading competitor.
Her victory is a testament to her unwavering dedication, perseverance, and passion for the sport. It brings immense pride to the Pencak Silat Association of J&K and serves as an inspiration for countless young athletes in the region.

Secretary of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Sarmad Hafeez and Secretary of  Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) Nuzhat Gul commended Aqsa on her remarkable achievement, recognizing her as a symbol of excellence for J&K. Coaches Irfan Aziz Botta and Mohd Iqbal praised her hard work and discipline, highlighting her role in elevating the sport.

Additionally, Tawqeer Farooq and Arsh Naseer from J&K earned bronze medals, further showcasing the region’s growing talent in Pencak Silat.
