J&K Wakeboard and Water Ski Association is going to Participate in Junior/Senior National Championship from 25th May at Sirmour Himachal Pradesh.
J&K Wakeboard and Water Ski Association is the only affiliated unit with the National Federation for the development of the water Ski and Wakeboard Sports in J&K.
The Association has received invitation from Wakeboard and Water Ski Federation of India for the participation in the Junior/Senior Wakeboard and Water Ski championship.
More than 20 Players are going to represent the UT of J&K in various Categories including Female Athletes as well. First time in the History players are participating in the Wakeboard and Water Ski National championship as in the last they were kept in dark, not only the players of the UT but J&K sports council were also misinformed regarding the affiliated unit. We recieved positive response from the Secretary J&K Sports Council regarding the affiliation of the genuine unit.
From this National championship we are expecting maximum Selections for the Indian National camp for the preparation of Asian Games to be held in Malaysia.
J&K Wakeboard and Water Ski Association is currently present in 17 District all across the UT and looking to install Cable Ski Project in Srinagar with the help of National Federation and International body.
We are thankful to our Federation for Nominating Srinagar for the Cable Ski Project which is not going to develop only the Water Ski sport but also help in growing the tourism industry.
J&k Wakeboard and Water Ski is going to procure international standard equipments for the development of the game.
