J&K Sports Council Screens Teams for 34th Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship

The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, in collaboration with the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Saturday successfully conducted the screening of boys’ and girls’ Kabaddi teams for the upcoming 34th Sub-Junior National Championship, set to take place in Gaya, Bihar, from March 27 to March 30.

The screening event was held at Subash Indoor Stadium, Udhampur, under the supervision of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, and Vikas Dogra, Incharge Manager of Subash Indoor Stadium. The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, including Tanvir Sheikh, President of the Udhampur Kabaddi Association; Surinder Mohan Gupta, Observer from the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Jammu; and Ashok Kumar Sharma, Chairman of the Udhampur Kabaddi Association. Experienced coaches Ram Kumar, Anita Devi, Sunita Devi, Pratyaksh Bhogia, and Mir Alam also oversaw the selection process. The screening aimed to ensure that the finest talent from the UT Kabaddi Championship was chosen to represent Jammu and Kashmir at the national level. The championship, sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, will provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a higher level.
