J&K set to shine as global socio-economic model

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged in discussions today withDr.EliskaZigova, Ambassador of Czech Republic to India, at Raj Bhawan Srinagar, focusing on the abundant investment prospects in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Lt Governor Sinha highlighted the diverse sectors such as Industries, Tourism, Start-ups, Handloom, Handicrafts, Food Processing, Agriculture, and allied sectors, underscoring their investment potential in the Union Territory. He emphasized the transformative changes underway in Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister NarendraModi, envisioning it as a success story of socio-economic development.
“Jammu & Kashmir is poised to emerge as a significant success story and a global model for socio-economic development,” remarked Lt Governor Sinha, inviting Trade and Business Leaders from the Czech Republic to explore the vast opportunities in the region.
He further expressed confidence in the progressive reforms and forward-looking policies that position Jammu & Kashmir as a preferred investment destination globally. “The government’s proactive measures are aimed at removing barriers to development, paving the way for J&K to become a resilient and self-reliant Union Territory,” he added.
Dr.EliskaZigova affirmed the Czech Republic’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with India, with a focus on fostering mutual growth and collaboration.
The meeting was attended by GuneetChaudhary, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Chandigarh for UT of J&K; Adam Podhola, Third Secretary in the Embassy of Czech Republic; Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to Lt Governor; YashaMudgal, Commissioner Secretary, Tourism Department; and Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director, JKTPO.
